Just a picture of the patch on my 32oz denim

With the invitational over, I'm enjoying my denim rotation, giving every pair at least 2 weeks of wear (at least trying to). This cycle, it's the 32oz denim!
There's no chance I'm getting the 40oz one. Very few will be made, and in their livestream reveal, they said it'd cost at least $2k. If the price doesn't dissuade anybody, the limited quantity is not going to help either.
Edit: Showing my work in regards to the $2k price for the 40oz denim. It's around the 20:35 mark

I am wearing a pair of weird guy MIJ10 as my bridge pair. They already have 9.5 months of wear. I am thinking about wearing a black pair for year 5 like the Shinigami or MIJ13. I have also heard rumblings a 32oz black maybe on the horizon they have some deadstock fabric still. Also on the look out for IH-XHSBB as a potential pair as well
-
@pmadison95 pics of the MIJ10? If you can find some xhsbb’s i highly recommend them. dont know that i’d reccomend black for a competition tho after doing the DWC2 in IHxVS777S21s.
just copped elephant 13’s. still on the lookout for Shinigami’s in a 38. or jacket.
-
@mikebarhoot Here are some pics of the Mij10 s with 9 months of wear from before the last competition. I will get some at.the end of this month too. Yeah I agree that a pair of black denim will be harder to fade. However,I have never faded a black pair out and I want the challenge.

-
Also the Shinigami is a nice fabric I have a pair that I might use for the II Y5. I will be cool to see how those Elephants fade.
-
Probably a better thread to post this in.
If you have an engineer boot that's slim enough, you also can wear engineer boots with the 32oz denim! It will take some finessing, but is doable.
Boot pictured is the Mr. Lou olive waxed flesh from Standard and Strange.

The new love & peace selvedge, came out on Thursday… really happy with these in the easy guy fit, apparently great faders too.

Want to pay north of $2000 for the most uncomfortable jeans you’ll ever wear? Here ya go, 40 oz in all its glory

I might have to pick up this next jean coming out it is the MIJ15 Hand Dyed Natural Indigo x Kakishibu Intangible Cultural Selvedge Denim. It has a hand dyed warp and weft and the fabric looks gorgeous. The price is kinda steep but alot of extra work goes into making these. https://www.nakedandfamousdenim.com/en/news/2025/7/11/mij15-hand-dyed-natural-indigo-kakishibu-intangible-cultural-treasure-selvedge-denim

Ткань чертовски хороша!!! Чем-то похожа на эту. https://forum.ironheart.co.uk/topic/13929/warp-weft-company/5

What does everyone think of the Godzilla denim from N&F? Cool touches on these, but I'm not sure if the price point is worth it. I love colored wefts in theory but not really for everyday wear--you can wear the same indigo by white jeans every day and no one notices....try fading a purple weft pair and you're the purple pants guy by day 3 lol
-
@Salted-Racer I've got a sweet spot for NF as they were what got me into "selvedge/raw denim", but they aren't the best quality compared to IH and I never wear them anymore. I think it's cool and they definitely have a place in the denim world and they are doing interesting stuff, by the way I tune in to their livestream every Thursday and watch all their vids on YouTube, I like the guys that work there more than I enjoy their products...
that said I will probably get a pair of elephant 14's dirty fade from them, I think only one of the Godzilla collab jeans were 19/20 oz+ which is what makes me sad because I love heavy stuff and that symbolises Godzilla for me... and they do like 1-2 heavyweight jeans per year.
-
@Jord agreed. The elephant dirty fade is looking good. They are also coming out with some Fox Fiber stuff that looks quite nice. Being Canadian, I always root for N&F but certainly not the same construction level as IH for sure.

I really like a lot of what they do, and as mentioned it seems like they have a lot of solid people working for them. For me the problem is that I keep wearing Iron Heart! Today for instance it was IGW-101B, 274-IND and IHM-27-BLK (the best jacket known to man).
I have a pair of the Elephant 11 jeans and the Elephant 11 Type III, both excellent.
Coolest part about them imo is all the interesting fabrics. The variety boggles the mind. As a big fan of black denim I've been looking at the Shinigami selvedge and the Godzilla 1954, and just might pick up one of these if I get the chance. The problem is that I have so many pairs of Iron Heart (and Samurai, Tanuki, Oni, The Strike Gold etc.) stacked up it would be a very long time until I would get to them.
Also, it's hard not to love a company that actually releases a 40oz denim. (Great that we get to see a couple pairs in the Indigo Invitational this time as well).

@pmadison95 Their made in Japan line is so awesome!

-
@mikebarhoot Those E-Honda 21oz denim jeans are nice and comfy! I have a pair of those too!
-
Hey guys! Look how the Elephant 12 in 20 oz rubs on the jacket sleeves! The fabric is herringbone. Delightful!

-
@Salted-Racer I am really like the godzilla collection. If I had to pick a pair I would go with the burning godzilla. I do however have too many pairs already of jeans so i doubt I will pick up a pair.
-
@pmadison95 yeah that one is rad! I quite like the 1954 as well..the black with white weft is so cool. I will admire them from afar as I just got back into the IH game with a bunch of purchases.
