Y'2 Leathers….

For those with the red chore jacket, how are you feeling about the ‘hand dyed’ process? Debating on whether to pull the trigger on the new Shop Vancouver type 3…
-
@Mister_Brue thanks man! it’s a truly beautiful jacket for sure! Like a blank canvas ready to experience life
-
@Buckeye obviously its all down to personal taste - but I love the colour variation of the hand dyed leather.....it just gives the jacket a bit of a worn in look straight away, plus it just looks good to me and is something a bit different to my other jackets
-
Anyone have N1 sizing advice? I’m a size M/US40 in most brands and wear a size L UHF. I’m wondering if I should size up to 42 if I want room to layer over a UHF.
-
@uclabruin I am a L in UHFs and personally I would say yes, go with a 42, especially if you want to layer
-
@Darth-fader Thanks! Which version do you have?
-
@uclabruin I have the shop Vancouver green version, and I have also tried the regular navy version (and they both fit the same).........they are very warm jackets though, so It depends upon where you live I suppose, but I have never needed more than a t-shirt underneath when wearing mine
-
@Darth-fader dang! Nice to know, iv been looking at the green version. Would love me one of those jackets. I live in Sweden, our winters would sure need one of those jackets
-
Just got mine, so stocked. Will be some time coming but I’ll appreciate it even more.
Always feeling a bit nervous to pay that much money and not be able to size it first, but I’ll trust the process
Keep the photos coming please so I can can get hyped on the way! -
@nrtphotos hi, would you mind sharing some information on your sizing (especially weight and chest/shoulders)?
I am going back and forth on sizing (between 44 and 46), as I tend to be XL in most IH including UHF. I know 44 should be the way to go but I sometimes feel slightly constrained as I have relatively large shoulders / chest. These 2 are the only dimensions that change between the two sizes and I would want to feel comfortable in the long run. Sizing is always a bit stressful on such an expensive itemMany thanks,

@tvaillant75 I’m 6’4, 195 pounds, 40 Inch chest and shoulder is somewhere around 17-18 inches.
I find physical measurements can be somewhat deceiving, as the 20 inch jacket shoulders are pretty bang on, maybe half an inch too big? A perfect chest measurement for me would be 23 inches but that doesn’t exist for these. I could fit a 22.5 but it would be pretty fitted on me.
I could definitely wear a 42 in this jacket but I just want a bit more room to breathe. I have never regretted having a bit of room, I have always regretted being a bit too small in measurements. I see a lot of guys here and online wearing jackets that If they gained even ten pounds they’d need to size up, I don’t like that.
I have a 44 in the Henry and have always regretted not sizing up, the leather doesn’t stretch at all.
