I watched it. The premise is fine, rugged is a pretty cringy word in that context. But like the last video I watched from Carl Murawski it's a bit rambling and disjointed. I found Carl's video worse, which is a little disappointing as I've generally enjoyed his content - this video came across as gatekeeping clothing that could be described as workwear.
I didn't read either's references to Iron Heart as disparaging, but as probably the most prominent brand in the heritage clothing space they're always going to get mentioned.

Australia post can get fucked
How it takes post from 1 capital city to another over a week and they don’t even know where the parcel is at this point in time in this day and age is just bullshit and they don’t even class it as late or will look into it until after 3 weeks -

Most construction workers wear clothes from thrift stores or WalMart. So if it’s not a $7 pair of pants and a $1 t shirt, it’s not “real work wear” anyway.

@mclaincausey unlikely. I’m not on social media (got off Facebook pretty much the moment my mum sent me a “friend” request) and don’t watch YouTube (unless it’s teaching me how to do something I would otherwise have to pay someone to do for me).
I’m not surprised to read there are people out there like this guy, but I’m convinced my life is better for having zero clue as to who the heck he is (and having even less interest in finding out….).

@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot hear hear. Iron Heart, Reddit, LinkedIn, and Insta remain for me but I ditched FB long ago and it measurably bettered my life. Turns out most people are idiots and idiots are loud.

Facebook is pretty toxic now, I try to avoid it. LinkedIn I find incredibly false and again try to avoid it. YouTube has its moments, it’s a democratisation of visual media, for better or worse (both really). IG is ok, especially as it gives you the option of avoiding the algorithm.

Yeah LinkedIn is such a ridiculous flex fest and circle jerk. I only use it for professional networking and ignore all the people enamored with the smell of their own farts churning out ChatGPT bullshit to be some sort of business influencers. Fuck all the way off with that noise.

@Brian My wife works as the deputy director of the Middle Volga region of Russian Post. tells interesting news. Moscow management has launched a program to cut every third postman. They are saving state money. But at the same time, they are increasing the Moscow head office. Now there is almost no one to deliver mail. But at the same time, the head office is full of whores and secretaries.

The Russians have a fairy tale, in it one man fed two generals on an island. Apparently this is an old tradition in Russia. One works for 10 lazy people. What's wrong with the Australian post office??? Maybe someone there has read the Russian tale about the man and the two generals??))))

@Danimal506 Many trades, myself included, are required to wear FR at all times while onsite. The small portion of the video I watched seemed to simply be projection onto others about his own insecurities.

@Danimal506 commercial GC here. I notice our pipe fitters wear long sleeves (often denim) year round even through this heat wave. I couldn't do it but I'm sure it's helpful for burn preventions at least a little.
