I thought Post Malone put on a pretty good show despite it not being something I would ever choose to go see on my own.

      Pyrotechnics and lots of energy

Also the fact that we were in a private suit with catering and open bar all night definately helped

Nice. I was in the Bud box for a pre season game once. I felt very fancy. Glad you found a way to enjoy yourself.

@Matt the people watching was A+ as well.

Jelly Roll was DEFINITELY not for me but......I cant deny that 7 year old me enjoyed his rowdy cover of "friends in low places"

Then ran into Mike Gordon, Phish’s bassist, and chatted him up a bit. Blurry though it is, glad my wife stole a candid, knowing we wouldn’t ask him for a photo while he’s just trying to enjoy some ice cream.

Amongst a long list of artists across many many genres this past week at Glastonbury I caught Brian Jonestown Massacre on a very sunny sunday afternoon, perfect settings and a plane was up above drawing a smiley face!

@Matt it really is. It's crazy just how big it is and you often need a good hour to get between stages due to crowds and needing to stop for the toilet and drinks etc. Not to mention the part of the site where we had our camper van was around a 30-35 minute walk to the festival entrance.

I would say I managed around 2/3rds of all the acts I had written down, but also saw so many I did not plan to. Even having said that though there was still a few stages I did not see anything at!

@Bridger West Holts was awesome, classic large scale outdoor concert setting. Great sound and speaker stacks going right to the back of the crowd so you always heard the music brilliantly. That point actually goes for every stage there, no matter where you stood in the crowd the sound was fantastic, loud and clear. Which in the UK in recent years doesn't always seem to be the case.

It's worth going there just to experience the Pyramid stage alone. Mind blowing just how far back you can go and still have a great time and how huge of a crowd can fit in there.

Some big names I saw were Kaiser Chiefs, Lewis Capaldi, Maccabees with Florence from Florence & The Machine, Busta Rhymes, Alanis Morissette.

Then it all got a bit loose for the party music; MJ Cole, Joy Orbison, Four Tet (twice), Jamie XX, Solomun. Fat Boy Slim's 100th performance at Glastonbury which was one of the best parties I've ever been too, that was at Shang Ri La and I was properly flying by that point. Haven't partied like that in years.

The IICON stage is one of the craziest things I've ever seen, especially late on into the early hours.

My only regret is missing Prodigy, but I'm sure there will be another opportunity! The Kneecap show would have been another great moment but they closed off all routes leading to it almost an hour beforehand as it was so busy and at that point I was relaxing in a tent listening to the great Giles Peterson spin some records.

All in all a truly 10/10 experience, if you ever get the chance to go, do it!!

Sounds awesome @hjl360. I went in '97 but I am sure it has improved a lot since then!

Do you know if there are any non-camping options to shuttle in each day from a nearby hotel?

@Bridger Amazing what you can find on Google. This is the newspaper ad for a small club in NYC called Unganos. I saw the MC5 and Black Sabbath there in the same week. I went to see Black Sabbath on the first night and when they turned the amps on they blew all the fuses in the club. We all went back the next night and saw quite possibly the loudest show I’ve ever seen in my life. They were amazing! IMG_2414.jpeg

That was potentially their first US show.

Saw the Wetties a couple of times in early 2022 after Chaise Longue, and they were an innocent amateur silly uni band, but they were having fun.

Recently saw them at Brixton Academy, and they were a very different band. The lead singer seems to have been crushing it in her CrossFit box and now patrols the stage like Henry Rollins on heat. The band dynamics were super different. The lead guitarist seems even more reserved than before and had very little interaction on stage with the vocalist, when they previously seemed to frolic together.

If I were a betting person, I would not give this current lineup chances of staying together much beyond this summer tour pay days. But hey, what do I know – they could have just been having an “off” night in Brixton.
