IHSH-409-IB - 19oz Selvedge Denim CPO Shirt - Indigo/Black
-
@Oaktavia OK, sorry.. slipped my mind due to general unavailability in Europe. I have seen the general excitement though
-
@Tobi , I currently own the previous OD CPO (non Self Edge piece).
-
@Oaktavia Correct.
-
Toss my name on the long list of suitors for this one....and the 293 OD.
-
There just so much great s**t; it's annoying ...
-
@Oaktavia I don’t have the 409, but would love to know your opinions/analysis of the two fabrics (themselves).
I’ve come to the resolve that 19oz is my sweet spot for jeans…i end up wearing/fading this weight the most on my legs…and evidently, I am all-in on the 12/14oz for tops.
Regardless, I would love to hear your insight into the differences wrt these two denims. In my mind, the 409 ib is more similar to 19L. or else more similar to the RHT 19oz SEXIH07/09 collabs? I wonder if the 409 fabric existence was borne out of SEXIH25 sampling?

@Boit The 19ozib is like a royal blue, highly saturated almost purple when new. The richness of the denim color yields sophisticated ranges of indigo unlike any other I have seen. The denim is smooth.
The SEXIH25 denim is like ballpoint pen ink in some areas, while having that muted OD look. The slubs are soft yet rigid, irregular. The color is in and of itself with denim.
19ozib is not similar to the 19L. Difference in color, texture, everything. These two denims could not be more different in my opinion.
Does this help provide insight on the three 19oz beasts? I quite love all three for what they each are, individually.
I was also wondering if the 19ozib was rejected during the 5 year development of the SEXIH25
.

@Oaktavia , thanks for the great insight!

@derek111 My wife won't fall for this. I just play dumb and say "shit, they're like Pokemon...gots to catch them all!"
-
@Oaktavia sound like you’re in the club
@Oaktavia as denim consultant
good idea, @derek111.
re The 19VHS (SEX25 denim), I agree, this is unlike anything i’ve seen from IH (dont have the 16oz Slub). .
Sounds like it is mostly like the 16oz Slub, from your prospective? Historically, I’ve not been a fan of too much slub. However, I really like that this newer heavier stuff drapes very nicely..and the lack of hariness to the denim. I might be in the minority here, but I notice that I start to really love my denim when that hair gets rubbed off (maybe there is a term for that?)

@Luijim78 do you mean your SExIH Type3? My SExIH 633s are still making their way to me as well. Very very slowly.
-
@ManiacLachy yes exactly, so let's cross our fingers and hope they arrive next week
