IH-526Lod - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo Overdyed Black
-
@M800sct1 The 19Lod was not brought in to replace the 21od. It is another offering, just as there are different flavours of ice cream or different kinds of beer.
All of the denims offered by Ironheart have their unique characteristics which make them special.
As to the 21od being dropped, I don’t believe that is the case. The factories making Ironheart have been in overdrive for quite a few years now and can only make so much at any given time. This may be an instance where there isn’t room to have them currently offered in lieu of something else being made.

Cheers thanks for that Goosehd.
One othe query you naybe be able to help me with. I have the 14oz Indigo OD in Type III.In your opinion would I notice a massive difference between the 19 L OD than the 14 OD.
Trying to get my head around it to see if I can justify the purchase of the 19 L OD to myself.
I know additional weight isnt everything when it comes down to wearability as in both my 666 Jeans and Type III Jackets I seam to prefer the heavier 21oz to 14 oz because of the additional breathability and permeability the fabric appears to have over the similar 14oz.
Hooe that makes sense.

Hey Goosehd. Thanks for that.
Helps significantly. Think I understand the Fabrics a little better now.
Decisions, decisions.

@CosmoSix5
Fits like a glove man! Very nice you’re going love breaking it in. I got almost 3 months of wear on mine, Pretty much everyday since It arrived -
In anticipation of ordering one of these when they come in, can you guys give me your opinion on sizing? I picked up a 293OD size L this week and I love it. A bit snug in the pits, but I think it'll loosen up. Didn't have an issue buttoning up with a hoodie either. Should I go L or XL.

Comparing a shirt’s size to a jacket size probably isn’t going to get the results you want, exactly. Measure your actual 293 to compare to the size chart for this, but better yet, if you have a type III that you like the fit of, measure it the the iron heart way and compare to the chart. The shoulder is also going to be meaningful to the way an item feels when you wear it, and the shirt shoulders are going to sit in a different place from a jacket.
In general, if you like the fit of your 293, I’d think the same size type III would be the play.

@jmp777
Jus to piggy back off @sabergirl post, def measure a favorite jacket, Overdyes run smaller for sure . My 526Lod is 2 sizes up from my other IH CPOs/jacket size . Checked measurements before bought it and Fits perfectly. One of my favorites -
@sabergirl absolutely a fair point. Didn’t even think about that. Was focused more on the overdyed element. Will definitely take measurements and see where things land. Thanks!
-
@jmp777 the fabrics of the 526Lod and 293 are so different that it's hard to compare the fit just by measurements tbh. They sit and drape very different. It works better for tall and skinny guys because that's how it is cut.
-
@FlavourFade Thanks! I guess I’m just trying to see what works best as I’ve never worn it or seen in person. I’m definitely a large in a 21oz indigo.
-
Will Self Edge get some stock of this? Hoping yes so I can probably drop by and try it out for proper sizing!
-
@Alex What about IH Germany?
-
@stenaloom you know these questions are better directed to the shops in question as they can then give you 100% accurate information..
-
Current anxiety is this dropping next week while I am in the middle of Glastonbury festival fighting for signal to grab one
If I'm in any fit state to that is

Excited for you guys! Can't wait to see them!

Wanted one of these for ages, will probably pull the trigger. Was debating whether to get the 14 oz.
Are we likely to get fresh measurements upfront for this batch?
Pretty sure I'm gonna be L or XL...
