SEXIH25 = Self Edge x Iron Heart 19oz Denim Jeans

I love the newer, slightly higher rise on the 633.
I went with a 34 in the OD and 33 in the regular indigo. I mentioned this in the CPO thread, but the fabric really looks beautiful. Feels much lighter than 19 oz too. I can’t wait to pick these up later in the week when the hemming is done.
-
Also - they’re definitely having trouble with email and text receipts. The guy who checked out before me got his text right away, but after an hour or so I still haven’t gotten mine. The employee helping me said it’s happening to all their stores because of how much traffic they’ve received today.

If you have not received your order emails, log into your account. My order is marked shipped already but no order received email. Hope this helps

It doesn't seem the jeans were in quite the same demand as the CPO, still good stock on the website. I woke up at 2:30am Sunday morning (9:30am PST) here for my nightly trip to the smallest room, and decided to get my order in while I was up. I went with the 633 indigo in size 36, could possibly be a hair too small, but I've got a couple kgs still to lose.
These will replace my now too big PJB SLB-019s, which look quite similar in denims but will no doubt feel quite different.
-
@ManiacLachy congrats they’re going to be great! Funny you mention that, because I didn’t purchase the indigo 633s precisely due to the fact that I have those PBJs I bought like 2 months ago, and they do look similar, and my priorities were with the Indigo CPO (and still somehow ended up with the type iii OD as well
)
-
@MSav32323 so it's not just me! I'll do a comparison in a week or so once the 633s get here.
Congrats on the COP and Type III! They both look awesome.
-
Was so focused on the CPOs that I didn't pay much attention to the jeans (also I could only buy one thing today). But man the OD looks so good. If my size in the 301 OD is still available in a few weeks (unlikely), I will definitely grab a pair.

My 633 indigo arrived today. It is a nice cut, this is my first time trying it out. The denim is wonderful and dark. Soft (yet rough?) and heavy hand feel. Falls right in line with the IH lineup of denim already established. I prefer this one to the 16oz slub just because it's thicker. Heavyweight slub is where it's at. These will be on ice for quite some time. I plan on wearing my XHSib and UHR until they are properly faded. Plus, I have another pair that is ahead of this one.
Does this denim warrant a nickname? The Heavy Slub? Or is it going to be simply referred to the 25 SE collab or something similar?
-
@Oaktavia Thanks for your impressions of the denim! It sounds every bit as awesome as promised.
Did you order your regular IH jeans size? How do the measurements stack up? I always find it hard to reconcile the SE measurements to what I expect, and clearly I'm not the only one.
I've ordered a pair of the indigo 633, but it'll be about a week and half before they complete their trek to the other side of the globe.

Congrats Self Edge and Iron Heart on such a great collab!
I’m really digging these 633ODs in the SEXIH25 Slubby Vintage 19oz denim. Very fantastic!
Good call with the longer pocket bags and higher waist. Having the extra room in both of those dimensions makes for a much more comfortable fit…I think these are pretty comparable to the 888 cut for me…but somehow different/better/more comfortable. Maybe a combination of sizing up and the longer bags?
Currently planning on sending these back to Self Edge to get hemmed:
@kiya, What size are you sporting in these? -
I’m in awe of what I can comfortably conceal in these front pockets:
-
@Boit in this jean, Kiya told me he wears a 36 (indigo); he normally wears a 33.
I'm sure he can share more, but this was an easy enough thing to answer so I thought I'd let you know!
-
@deadendpro Thanks for reminding me that. I do recall Kiya saying that somewhere here. I'm having trouble keeping track of where what was said in the three threads.
-
@kiya - can you comment on how many inches of stretch max we should expect on this denim in the waist? Im in-between awk size (size 37). May go down to 36 if these have quite a bit of stretch like the signature 21oz. Thanks
-
@ManiacLachy I ordered my regular size but YMMV.

@kiya how's the stretch been in the waist for the pair you've been wearing? OD or indigo? Thanks,
Been wearing the indigo, sized up 2 sizes from the size I should be wearing to achieve a loose and wide fit. So I've gotten no waist stretching due to the waist being so big on me and wearing them with a belt. Will wait another week or so before I snap some photos of the 2 month mark of wearing them.

After over a month of wear there's already some nice indigo hues coming through, just gave them a wash at the 6 week mark and they're currently drying.
We'll have tons of photos, specs, and measurements up on our site in less than a week. -
My fit pic days are long behind me, but I went with my usual size in these after trying my usual size and a size up at SENY. Think that was the right call.
These are my first pair in the 633 cut. I like it a lot. Having a bigger rise than most cuts is important. The 888s are fairly similar but I always got hip flare & slightly baggy thighs, which is a reflection of my body type - I think they look better on other people than they ever did on me.
The 633s fit me better in the thighs. TTS means the waist is fairly tight right now (top button is no problem though) as they new but I am assuming they will stretch an inch or so in which case I will be ok. Of all the IH denims I have owned over the years, they basically all stretched except for the LHT which I think were unique. After a day I can feel them giving somewhat.
One size up felt more comfortable off the bat but looked a little sloppy on me. Hopefully it all works out. The denim is really cool, and I love the indigo arcs, dark W etc. Nice job IH and Kiya.

@babyknight thank you for your input, follows my thoughts/hopes exactly. I can't wait for them to arrive.
