I'm so tempted to get this, I've wanted a 21 oz type 3. But I have the 19 oz LHT in indigo, and I want the OD version. So I think having this would be a bit redundant. Someone talk me into this lol

From my recollection, it’s a rare bird that wasn’t offered for very long due to the way it attached to clothing. If I recall correctly, it has a point on each side that needed to be pushed through the material and then folded over to secure it. In the process it mangled the fabric and was a put it in the right place the first time items.
I don't think we offered it at all. Once I realised that you needed to cut slits in the garment fabric to attach the beast, I also realised that not so many people are as foolhardy as me....

Ordered from ISP. Asked for the biggest chest 4xl. Which is hilarious because I had the 14oz in 4xl and sold it because I shrank out of it. It was almost 26" across the chest. This will be 24.25"ish. The 3xl sleeves were perfect too.. it'll work out. Now I wait on something OD.

XL ordered! This will be my 6th IH type 3, but first Indigo...Now I just need to try and not look too closely at the SExIH25 next week!

Finally got one of these. I asked for the biggest chest size in a 3X @CosmoSix5. You can’t beat the 21 oz in a jacket. My super black type III is my favorite jacket EVERRRR

Although I was sure I really wanted a 526L as my next jacket, the stiffness of my 526Lod also means I wear that jacket a lot less than my 526j-142ib. I love the way the 19oz L fabric develops over time but if I won’t wear it it’s of no use right? So time to switch to the 21oz version. However the dimensions are slimmer on the shoulders, length and sleeves compared to the jackets I mentioned above, which I both own in L so I’m tempted to grab this in XL. Does that make sense? I’m 1,84m and 78kg. Xl is sold out already but still available elsewhere.

@Marcel have you run a compare on those jackets, assuming your 14oz ib is from the most recent run? General rule is trust the measurements not the tag size. You can compare items here:

Yes, I did. The 14oz in is indeed from the most recent run. I will go for measurements, a small bit of extra width in waist and p2p won’t harm as it means I can layer it as that is something I most definitely can’t do with my current 526Lod.

@Marcel good luck with your purchase. I am in love with my 21oz. I had the pleasure going to iron heart and they found the largest chest and shortest sleeve in a large for me. Worth giving the retailer your perfect fit as they might find something closer than the sizing table.

This is especially true with this restock. I'm normally a Large, but this jacket put me squarely into an XL.
