For the 888 crew that also owns 634S for a more relaxed fit, did you go same size as 888S or one size up? Just looking for a wider leg from the knee down for the weekends.

@m4xime. Are you asking if you need to go a tag size up on the 634 vs 888?. I would say no as the 634 is definitely wider from mid thigh all the way to the hem from the 888.

@m4xime my 888s 34” streched out 1.5” on the waist, my 634s 33” stretched out to a very comfortable 35”(+2”) after4-5 days of wear, i like the rise of the 634 better and the leg opening.
I actually sized 1 down and fits me perfectly.

@m4xime I have the 888, 888od, 634, and 1955. Same size in all of them. If you like your 888 but want more leg room, the 1955 is the move. The 634 is wider than all of them, but much lower rise.

@Go-For-Chill Yeah, I thought that might be the case. The 1955S were released too close to the restock of 888S this year as the 888S were my first IH jeans, couldn't justify buying two pairs at the same time. I'll see what other denim they release the 1955 in or wait until next year's restock and were the 888S as hard as I can in the meantime!

@m4xime Really depends on the fit you're after. If you want a very slim fit you can do 634 in the same size as 888/1955. If you want something with more room to breathe, go +1 from your 888/1955 to get your 634 size.
I take a 34 in 888/1955 (+2 from what I'd need in the waist in order to get the fit I want in the leg), and while I can squeeze my legs into a 34 634, I would need a 35 to start feeling comfortable in the thighs pre-stretch.

Following up on this from almost 2 weeks ago after wearing these jeans nearly every day I’ve been outside and I gotta say….i see it now. The price is steep but damn these are the best jeans I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing. I just worry about what I’ve done to my wallet with future drops

I've been having a hard time narrowing down a size on this model and fit. Looking to see if I have any luck here! Since they're out of stock on IHUK, I've been looking on Self Edge and the sizes aren't matching up for me. I was recommended a tag sz 34 from the fine gentlemen here, and a sz 36 from SE.
I currently wear Oni 246ZR-Kab and UB221 for work so I measured these since they're my best fitting pairs
Based off IH measurement method
Waist 17
Rise 12SE method
Waist is about 16.75
Rise 12Which size would you recommend?
Any input from someone who has bought from IHUK and SE would be greatly appreciated!

If you’ve already corresponded with IHUK about your measurements through shop@ironheart.co.uk and they say go with 34, theirs is the advice you need.
I assume you also looked at the thigh measurements as well as front and back rise and waist?

@DirtyMike619 For what it's worth, I picked up a pair of XHS from SE and 888 21od from IHUK and went with the same size in both. For the SE pair I referenced the IHUK size chart and went from there. I'd say as long as you know your actual body measurements you can't go wrong with either chart.

888 is definitely more skinny throughout than the 1955 or the 634. I have all 3 in the same size. The 634 are the most relaxed and roomy of all of them, just with a lower waist. 634 is IH’s most relaxed fit.
One great thing about IH is that the waist sizes are simple. A 34 should be a very similar waist size in every fit. If you’re struggling with the other measurements, then it’s simply not your fit. If you want a skinny fit, then the 777, 666, or 555 is for you.
If you specifically want a slim fit 634, then try the Self Edge exclusive 633.

@DirtyMike619 SE also tried to size me up. I listened, spent a couple months breaking them in, then realized they were way too big.
If your best fitting pair measures 17 the IH way, I think 34 is your best bet. For me, the best fit is snug in the fitting room. Not only will the fabric will stretch a bit, but jeans also just feel slightly more loose as the fabric breaks in and conforms to your body.

@DirtyMike619 for what it’s worth, I did my own measurements which put me at a 34. I have a self edge shop next to me where I bought my iron hearts. I went in and told them my measurements and the first thing they recommended I tried was a 36 but I tried both and the 34 was the right fit 100%, especially considering it stretches another inch or so upon wearing. I’d go with your measurements since that worked perfectly for me.

@sabergirl yes, thigh will be just fine in either size, tad looser on sz 36 but not bad. And the rise is what led me to the 888 because they matched better with measurements from my Oni and UB221.
