@ZackB Eastern States in Pennsylvania in August. Will be more climbing than the two other 100’s I’ve done and hotter so looking forward to the challenge.
Any races sparking your interest? -
@Nik I’ve always wanted to do Leadville but I need some serious training at this point in my life.
-
@goosehd agreed, gave me the itch again

Thanks for the motivation fellas. Got out for a decent and slow run yesterday. One day at a time.

Looking for advice here guys.
Need to buy ‘something’ to keep me informed of: heart rate, calories burned and beep whenever I go over a set heart rate limit. Any additional functions will be useful and nice-to-have further down the line.
I’ll initially use it for brisk walks and contolled cycling. Will likely jog too later on as I (IF ) I get in better shape .
Thank you for all suggestions. -
@motojobobo I’d recommend Garmin and I think most of them will have a heart rate monitor that you should be able to set to alert you if your HR goes to a certain number.
-
@motojobobo agree with @Nik on this. I’ve loved all my garmins. You should check out dcrainmaker.com he reviews everything and makes recommendations for cycling, running etc.
-
@motojobobo if you have an iPhone, an Apple Watch checks all those boxes

Finally in the above average zone. Only by .1 - another small step towards my fitness goals. While this was a walk. (My 5k this morning was 42.5) I’m still taking it as a win. For the next 4 weeks I’ll be in a fitness competition at work. I’m hoping to get my runs and walks all in the above average zone by week 4. Let’s go!

@Fadez awesome job man. I’ve been trying to get my cardio fitness up on my watch too. It’s definitely been motivating me to get out there consistently again.
