@chillmonroe Shrinkage is not an exact science.. Where are you based? UK, perhaps based on the time it is and you being active? If so, I would be taking them unhemmed, washing them as per above, wearing them cuffed for a week or two, then sending them back for hemming

@Alex no, I’m in the US, I just have little kids that keep me up all night
I was more curious about waist fit though. I need an actual 31” inch waist, so I bought tag size 31, 32.2” in the size guide.
Details say approx 1” of shrinkage, then they also it’ll stretch out approx 1” with wear. So like, it’ll shrink an inch but then stretch out an inch and the waist should end up at approx 32.2”?

@chillmonroe yes that’s correct.
-
@Alex ah ok cool. Appreciate it!

@cbmyles Others might disagree with me but,I’ve never rolled the dice and played the stretch/shrink game. My philosophy being that if the waist is comfortable when you put them on,then you really don’t have to worry about excessive stretch,since there won’t be as much tension on a proper sized waist as there would be on a tightly fitting one. Conversely you,also,won’t have to worry about shrinkage during whatever your normal washing/drying routine is. Just my 2 cents.

@Jett129 so I tried on the standard 25oz today in size 30 (only size Mildblend had in 555 xhs) and I have to say the legs/rise/thighs are just right but I could not get the buttons fastened due to how thick the denim is LOL. I want to say the size 30 xhs fits larger than my size 31 (21oz) in all measurements except the waist. hmmm...
