@Giles I liked the first two albums a lot. They went downhill from there imo, and part of the reason I don’t listen to their newer stuff, besides the increasing blandness @mclaincausey mentioned, is Chris Martin coming across as an esoteric weirdo

Yeah U2 is insufferable. I think Achtung Baby was the last one I enjoyed at least a little and Joshua Tree was their pinnacle.

I liked them when they first came out but now
their music and stage presence is nearly indistinguishable from the likes of Maroon 5. If you showed me a recent performance of theirs then told me they had just won American Idol I’d believe you. Their music is just shitty.
