Here was my logic:

This is a S/S release thread for a product, not the actual product thread. After using the search for the product thread, I could not find one.

Since there was only this thread and no others, I don’t recall if IHUK ever released it to our markets.

Seeing that it was a dead thread, no comments other than the initial release info, and no posts after made me think that bumping this isn’t really relevant. I therefore deleted it.

But beside that point. Wow, what a crazy pair of pants! I read up on the logic of such construction and its bloody brilliant for motorcycle riders but probably unwarmable for civilians. You don't think they were offered outside Japan? Why have a forum entry then?

@Karol I personally should have sent you a pm explaining that and a request to copy the permalink in the future for dead threads and post the referring link in one of the more relevant threads such as random questions, or what do you think we should make type threads.

This is just my judgement and keeping new and relevant threads near the top for users to view keeping and old out of date ones buried.

We created a thread for the product when we created the threads for the entire collection. As we did not take any (and I suspect none of our retailers did either), we never made the thread a real product thread in "Bottoms"...

Cool part of IH history. The piece is so far out in how it looks but technically seems to be solid.

@Karol I had a similar inquiry years ago about a pair of jeans with leather back pockets that never released outside of Japan. there are simply times an item will make the SS or FW presentation and then not go into production. I doubt it happens now like it used to (I believe that IHUK has more control over their presentation items now as opposed to just the same presentation Haraki presents to the Japanese market), but it could still happen.

I feel like i'm reaching with the above info, and this line is my disclaimer

@jordanscollected Thanks! I start to get the picture. And for me the construction was so interesting, the duck and nylon, man, almost wish this would come out as bib, maybe people would like it more.

Another thing that is kind of a drag when there are old threads that someone comments on: I think they are new items being released and I get mini-stoked for a moment before I realize it's a dead thread. Mini-bummers dude.
