Breakfast of Champions

Good sourdough doesn’t need any help but an egg, cheddar, and some ranch dressing doesn’t hurt.

A few days ago I got this from my amazing local bakery, which provided the above sourdough. Bacon egg and cheese sandwich with pickled red onion and a great aioli. The pickled onion cut through the richness of all the other ingredients. I’ll be stealing this idea.

As wonderful as that sandwich is, it has competition.

A sausage biscuit with a local Everything sausage and a green chile gravy (I can’t find a picture but it’s so good).

Found a great brunch restaurant and bakery in Barcelona. The cinnamon roll was unglazed and instead topped with a dollop of delicious vanilla Gelato, with Nutella, chocolate, and salted caramel sauces.

My salad was fantastic as well.

Incorporated some Chorizo from the Santa Caterina market into a breakfast sandwich back home.

This time I used some crisped jamón Ibérico and manchego on the sourdough with a butter basted fried egg. Probably the best breakfast sandwich I’ve made.
