Should I take the announcement of this trip to mean they'll be no Gosport gathering this year? Or are they completely unrelated?

And around 10 minutes from the airport.

I think only flights to Bremen from UK are from Stansted.

We will fly into Hamburg

ah ok , thought I‘ve seen it when planning the Party last year. Maybe they don’t offer it anymore .
From Hamburg its around one hour with the train to Bremen.
