The 19oz LHT denim is quite robust, the overdying process softens it up but both are similar touch in my opinion. Both are in my rotation currently and very similar in terms of weight and comfort

@Luijim78 and @AdamJ thank you both for your replies. Based on what I’ve read, the SPG is shorter but also going to be harder to find at some point, correct? Would love some comparison pics if you have any. Also, is there one you like more than the other?

@AdamJ Oh wow!! Those are beautiful!! Are they the SPG or Lefty OD?

@Nostradamion I also have both the Lefty OD and now the SBG, and I think there is a time and place for both.

The Lefty OD is just badass in look and feel. The SBG to me will be slightly more "tamed". And of course, both are totally different colors that will be even more evident as time goes on.

@Nostradamion here is my Lefty OD, I love the 19oz fabric in all its declinations, I like its stiffness. SBG in addition to the jacket I bought a few hours ago I have two pairs of jeans, a 555 and a 666. basically it is the softest and most comfortable fabric there is. It is a matter of taste of course, but if I had to choose only based on the fabric the Lefty will always be one of my favorites.

@Luijim78 your Lefty OD is badass!! It’s definitely one I’m going to pick up when it’s available again. Did I understand correctly that you also have the SBG incoming? I literally just bought the IH-526J-142OD last week so I’m feeling like it might be redundant to get the SBG. If only money wasn’t an issue…

Impossible to resist this shorter version (Which I generally prefer). Should be a nice match with the other shorties: 526J, 2526J and the recent bomber jackets.

Only thing that made me pause for a second was that the arms seem to be quite roomy. Guess we'll just have to pump some iron now.......

I will say though: this is the last denim jacket I will buy for a very long time. Getting a bit silly at this point. But what is better than an Iron Heart denim jacket? Not much. Not much at all.

@Luijim78 so agree with you on that 19oz left hand twill. There is something about it that looks great in terms of fit. I'm wanting to pick up a black denim jacket and on the fence between the 526LOD and the 526-SBG. A lot photos of worn and faded OD jackets seem more blue than black. That's my only real hangup in deciding. I mentioned in another thread that Iron Heart should make a full black (no od) 19oz left hand twill type 3 jacket. It would be the black denim rule them all.

@Kasi It looks like when the honeycomb creases would settle in, since the arms are wide, the creases will be wide and wild. Pretty cool actually, like the combs on a pair of 634 almost. I think when some folks make it work they will look wild when well worn.
