@Davids_denim I’m going to second this notion. Have been listening to yall on the board and couldn’t agree more. For all transparency I saw this as a battle between James and Cade. Couldn’t be happier more for the folks who got it just cuz they’re some solid folks but overall the community lost on this one. I feel like that’s the overall disservice. Folks who truly love denim and see the art in it versuses judges who aren’t necessarily as convicted or appreciate what the overall community sees as the best of the best. @Jcaz6996 to me personally you were my overall…just want to say brother fucking solid beautiful pair of jeans.

@olblue the wife and I were just talking about this very thing. I can’t imagine finding judges is easy for Bryan so I don’t really blame him but I think I would prefer judges who have properly faded denim and are as passionate as we are.
All that being said I’m really happy for Scott he’s a cool dude and my UHR brother. I basically just tried to keep up with him the whole time. -

It’s a tough one to get my head around, what these judges were actually looking at it definitely wasn’t the pairs of hard core faders.
Obviously I’ve messaged Bryan saying how disappointed I am with the results I know it’s out of his hands , his reply :
Some of the judges saw the fades the same way you do. Others didn’t. I’ve said it before, I think you’re one of the very best at the style of fading that’s my particular favourite.
But the judging is an aggregate of different passions and perspectives.Looks like can’t please everyone , I’ve had some kind support on instagram from one of the very best to fade denim who shares the same passion and turns it into Art that person would make a perfect judge Adam Welch .
Ruedi not so much he likes all sorts of evolution even if it’s not the most natural, sand scrubs etc
So if I had to recommend a judge I would go for Adam ..

@Oaktavia @Davids_denim man in all honesty I’m stoked to make that 16. That’s a big deal for me. Last year getting 4th in the rally was unreal. My first year was top 100, this year top 50…made that goal
I’m pumped to be up there with fade legends…and I get the support from fade legends like yourselves…and in that regard I smashed my personal best. But thank ye, ain’t got nothing but love for yall -
