Loved Hassan Minaj's new special. The whole bit on 'Black America', 'White America' and 'The various shades of Beige-istan' really tickled me.
Had never seen his stand up before this, but was really impressed with the balance he stuck between crowd work and the continued narrative of the show itself.

@T4920 I agree. I haven't seen his newest special, but i've seen two of his older ones. He does a fantastic job of maintaining comedy while delving into some great social commentary. I love a comedian who can strike that balance.
Do you know who Roy Wood Jr. is? He is another guy who expertly tells poignant stories about social injustice with incredible humor. He's one of my favorites.

@Mizmazzle can't say I've heard of him, but I've just finished packing for my vacation tomorrow and was about to a crack a beer and find something funny to watch for a few hours.. I'll look him up!
5am start tomorrow, heading to Thailand again! If the 23h of flights/transfers wasn't enough, I have a 4h minibus to my final destination to look forward to when I land in Chiang Mai. Sometimes I wonder why I do this to myself, but I know it'll all be worthwhile when I get my first sip of that sweet Chang!

@T4920 NYC has the best comics. And LA comics get better after moving to NYC.
Have you listened to Ari Shaffirs podcasts about Thailand etc? He tells such good travel stories!
@Mizmazzle Roy Wood Jr is so good! I got to see a filming of “This is Not Happening” when he took over hosting.
