@Giles That bit of curvy road is known as Caracoles. It is a 30 km stretch of 29 curves taking you up (down) 600 meters. 2200 to 2800 meters. Terrific fun but those 3 km fly by too quickly. Very steep incline. Averages 20%!!! Hell for heavy trucks, especially descending, where they cannot use disk brakes and must rely on engine braking/lowest gear.
Enjoyment hinges on luck too. If you happen to hit heavy truck traffic, it becomes annoying. Happens frequently because it links Santiago (Chile) with Mendoza (Argentina), two big cities with significant commercial cargo between them.
If you remember the classic car rally I shared here a month ago…they went through Caracoles.
Btw, caracoles means snails…so I assume it

FWIW @Oaktavia @JoshC I’d personally just prefer about 2 inches more length to the straps. Having adjustablity just makes it dumbly and hardware gets caught on things.

In the US we have a road that’s been named The Tail of The Dragon…318 corners over 11 miles up,down and over two mountains. I rode it once.

I rode the Moki Dugway in Utah a couple times back when I had a bike still...
Not nearly as gnarly but quite dangerous and VERY beautiful.

What’s the difference between IH XHS and IH XHSiB?

Thanks! Right now, I’m wearing the IH 666 XHS daily for work, Monday to Friday, and it’s been 10 months with no rotation. I’ve been thinking about either the 888s or the 888XHSib. I’m super interested in the 21oz IH, but the XHSib also seems really cool. Sorry for rambling haha

@MQR If you like XHS you'll likely feel similarly towards a pair of XHSib. They are amazing denim, my absolute favorite that IH makes, and I highly recommend giving them a try.

I have seen items that were out of stock in UK get brought over from Japan. Is there anyway to see if Japan has extra IHSW-70 that could be bought by us international buyers?

I see a couple on a Japanese website, not sure if that’s third party or what?
