Why the hell did it  take me a year to realize this belt is size adjustable from the buckle end thanks to it being attached by screws and not sewn???

As soon as I had my “revelation” I immediately  remembered seeing the video years ago. I happened to have the hole punch as well so the mod was easy.  I’m back to my original hole now.  Very excited.

Used to be “natural.”  Now it’s “aged.”

I can't remember exactly how long I have had this belt.  It was from the first run of natural we ever did, so I am guessing 17 or so years, possibly even longer.  It gets worn most days. The buckle attachment was beginning to get a tad shady (which after only 6,000 or so days wear is pretty pitiful  ), so I asked Haraki for a new piece…

The pimpage was done at Iron Heart camp in Japan about 6 years ago...

Looking pretty ropey…

A quick dose of olive oil (because that is what I had to hand), and we're ready for another 17 years…..

Never had to retighten them in ten years.
Bought this belt from @Seul a decade ago.

It’s the one and only belt I use.
There was no need for something else, after this IHB-01 turned up.

I still have the OG plate buckle I bought from that Southeast Asian fisherman that used to be on this forum... His name will probably pop upin my tired brain soon... (And it did: mankarat!)

My very first Iron Heart piece, bought from Self Edge back in 2008 during my initial raw denim phase, the Self Edge Exclusive IH Super Tan Belt.

I spent some time trying to work out what it actually was, clearly related to the current IHB-10 belt, but mine isn’t even stamped with the Iron Heart logo like the current belts are. Eventually I traced it back through the topics and I’m pretty sure it’s this IHB-01, the same as @Giles belt, and just about as old!

Mine hasn’t had quite the wear of Giles’ belt, and is in need of some TLC, but has had pretty regular wear for the past 16 years, and has been my daily belt since finding my way back to raw denim and Iron Heart. And it has plenty of life in it still. I just need to order some quality oil for it asap!
