Drive from Gosport to Southampton airport(17 miles), 92 minutes. Made it with an hour or so to spare. Amazingly, I got through my rental return, check-in, security, and arrived at my gate, inside of 15 minutes.

@Giles , No worries. You warned me of rush hour traffic. I wouldn't have believed you, if you had told me it was as bad as it turned out. Southampton airport certainly made up for it. I don't think you can get to your gate anymore quickly than that. I wound up taking a seat for 45 minutes before boarding...
