@october-rust I’d like to try a pair. I’ve always been interested but the leg opening always seemed like it’d be too narrow for me like the 888s. Yet the pics people post all seem to suggest otherwise. What’s the hem like on yours?

@popvulture I sometimes feel the taper is a bit too drastic for me on the 888 but I didn’t get that sense with these in the hour or two I wore them. My initial thoughts were, with the higher rise but added room they’re what I love about the 888 and the 634 combined.

The 1955S and UHR, is my all time favorite cut. If I stopped buying with these, I would have a lot less jeans.

UHR 1955 is my grail jean currently. I wear my 21oz denim for a week or so then just realize I prefer the feel of something heavier.

+1 for SBG, or even 142bb!
My first pair was an 888S-142bb because I loved the high rise, but to be honest, the top block is too loose for my build. It's surprisingly hard to find high rise straight black jeans with interesting fabric. There are some options, but I feel like a black 1955 would blow them out of the water, both in terms of fit and the fabric itself. Fingers crossed!
