Thanks @AdamC and @Alex .. travel time is not too crucial since I will be arriving early Friday, and leave late on Sunday. I think I will rent a car, gives me also the flexiblity do do some sightseeing on Friday morning and Sunday afternoon.

@Tobi things may have changed in the last two years but there was a small car park attached to the Travelodge - my guess is they don’t have as many spaces as rooms so don’t advertise it on the website. I’d give it a go before looking at other parking options - that’s my plan!

@Tobi Yeah the "scenic route" goes through some lovely Sussex villages, Arundel being one of the most popular, very medieval with a huge castle! but Amberley and Pulborough as well both lovely!

@goosehd I've found half used ferry tickets down the back of the sofa before and used them years later. You'd hope they don't blood expire given how expensive it is for that short of a journey

@EdH quick update for those bringing a dog to the party and the brewery. Portsmouth now has Uber Pets which is an option on the standard screen where you chose your car. Aqua Cars which is a local taxi firm, are also dog friendly. Their contact number is +44 2392 654 321. As always, anyone needing assistance can holla at any of the crew
