@Jcaz6996 really is huge man and crazy to think those animals reaching speeds of 30mph. we have a crab apple tree where it was roaming… full bear is a good bear in my book.

@goosehd bear was definitely eyeing/smelling you from a distance if it was spotted only 20 minutes after set up. Very similar on our end too, my boy and I were chipping golf balls no more than hour prior

Gosport and Portsmouth played pivotal roles in the D Day landings (many of the Mulberry harbours were built on the beaches here). The 80th anniversary of the D Day celebrations have begun…couple of US bombers (I think)….

The C47 would make more sense as it would be carrying personnel for the landing. "More than 50,000 paratroops were dropped by C-47s during the first few days of the D-Day campaign" - Wikipedia

Just found this:

An unsung hero of the war, the Martin B-26 Marauder medium bomber earned a reputation as one of the toughest planes in the fleet. On D-Day the B-26 was used successfully more as an attack plane than a bomber, coming in low and aiming for the gun emplacements on the beach.
