      @Chris:

      @manufc10:

      I cut all of mine off.  Just don't like them.

      Same.  Just cut some off a newly purchase shirt yesterday, in fact.  My dislike of them overcomes even my powerful laziness.

      So true^^  I feel you!

        Another reason I keep them on is should I choose to sell a shirt the buyer might prefer those little details. cutting them off might effect the value. I have never had anyone ask me what a chainstitch runoff is anyway so people don't seem to notice

            On seeing the chain stitch run off on my IH Chambray for the first time, my brother remarked that it looked like I’d dressed as an Orthodox Jew. I’d not considered that and it did make me laugh

              I like it. I don’t care too much one way or the other. Overlock runoff I trim from sleeves on the IH thermals though because it’s annoying.

              Think it, be it.

                  Wasn’t a fan when I first got into this scene. Now I barely even notice almost all my shirts have it.

                  In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

                        @Mizmazzle I was the opposite. I was seriously prejudiced against shirts without it. Now I’m indifferent 😀

                          I love it, always have. It's admittedly weird, but charming.

                            @popvulture x2. Don’t know how to explain it nor really care to do so. Just makes me happy.

                              @Mizmazzle yup! I’ve cut some off and now don’t bother. My friends at work do bother though, and regularly try and rip them off as I pass by because it bugs them. I couldn’t care less if they succeed. 😝

                                The first quality shirt I bought with chain run got cut because I didn't realise it was on purpose.

                                    It’s a nice detail that I appreciate. I like to leave everything as it was intended from the factory. YMMV.

                                          I never learned to appreciate them…I snip them off as soon as I get my hands on the shirt. Before the first wear.

                                          The journey is the objective.
