@Aetas I own the 634 19L ver.2 and it has a very small upper block compared to your 634 19L, I got it at a discount some time ago and a size 29 compared to my usual 28 and it is perfect for my tastes (in fact it probably ended up in discount department because that lot had extremely smaller sizes than usual). The v2 19L was definitely small. I always wear tag36 on 634 and i had to get tag 38 on those. On the current run the sizes are pretty much consistent with the rest. The fabric is very stiff yo begin with but as @Aetas said it will settle beautifully in time.

@bluemantra I’ve noticed that this tends to happen with a lot of regular straight cut jeans, I guess because of the extra room in the top block. I’ve generally found that sizing down fixes it, that is if the next size down doesn’t go too small for you (I’ve run into this with 634s and just had to wait for another run or just deal with the slightly bigger size until it forms some good creases).
If I’m not sure if the front is too big or it’s just my imagination, it’s usually helpful to check the back too. A too big fit makes the center bit where the yoke forms the V poke out in profile like a weird sort of triangle. I think if you see that, combined with the front bunching, the pair’s too big.
If it’s just the front, then likely that bunchy effect will chill once you get whiskers.

Sizing down definitely fixes it. It happens to me also when the waist is slightly big and inhave to crank the belt. That makes it even worse.

Oh yeah absolutely. If you need a belt, the jeans are too big. I like belts sometimes but only want them as an alternate style option.

The IH-19Left Hand makes an unique sound whilst walking, fade potential is tremendous, the leg twist is far more than every other left hand I owned provided (and you can always see the selvedge on your right leg)!
The mentioned V-shape in the top block doesn’t bother me at all, but I would size one down from 36 to 35.If you’re new in this thread, this 19L is from the decedent forum member @Filthy2123ozjunkie. Was unsure if it is a bit spooky to wear, but as you forum guys donated this jeans to him at a time he was in a bad mental state, we can read what this gift of yours ment to him, when looking back.
Often found me in a nonverbal, literally and contemplative way communicating with Filthy about the state of this pant.Shure he would have an opinion about this 19L and loved to hear all of your stories!!

I just scored a pair of this in an 888. The comparisons to the XHS in terms of initial vibe and difficulty in buttoning up right out of the bag are spot on. Feels like a lighter XHS to me.
How does the 19L feel after breaking in? I’m assuming much softer etc. The fade pics look great.

I have a pair in 888 that I've been wearing to work for the past 6 months or so. They may have softened slightly, but they are still very stiff. They've definitely molded to me, so they are much more comfortable now. For a while, the chainstitch inside the waistband was rough on my hip area. That has gotten much better. That said, I don't anticipate these ever reaching denim sweat pants level. Not even close.

My pair is a year old, my main pair with probably ~180 wear days and ~4 washes
I find em really comfortable, they keep a relatively hard face. I’d describe them as pliable rather than soft. I’m not a sucker for discomfort with my denim - I wouldn’t want to wear a pair that don’t feel comfy. These feel rad.

literally just got them yesterday, cold washed, and they are hanging dry now.
I’ll have to bust out the needle nose pliers just to button them up. I’ll wear them after work do some squats and stuff.
They do have a little extra material below the waistband near the crotch, but I know they will relax. And the front rise is ever so slightly lower than my other 888 jeans, but not dramatically.
