I love every season.
Winter for the skiing, the beauty of snow, the heavy clothes, and the holidays.
Spring for the awakening of flora and fauna and the intermediate, comfortable temperatures.
Summer for pools, ponds, beaches, boating, biking, hiking, camping, live music outdoors, farmer’s markets, etc.
Autumn for the transitions such as leaves turning, moderate temperatures, and still some fun activities and opportunity to bust out heavier gear.
That said, I don’t live in the sweltering Deep South anymore where pollen, insects, humidity, and heat can make summers a bit less pleasant.
Enjoy it while you can, I’m afraid it’s going to get worse.

@Oaktavia confirmed! You step out the door and everything just stick to you. Sweat/Condensation on everything. Thing is, it doesn't matter if you're wearing lightweight or heavyweight - you will swelter. BUT, i like summer activities.

I spent a year in Western Australia where the summer temperatures reached 40c+ of a daily basis.
My 'room' for a few months was a converted shipping container (colloquially known as a Donga) and one night the AC died on me... not wanted to bother the bosses at such an ungodly hour I tried to power through and sleep through the heat... the outside of the metal container was still hot to the touch, hours after the sun had gone down... so being in their with no AC literally felt like I was being boiled alive

Same here, like @mclaincausey said. I helps to be near water too!
-
@Oaktavia I don't think we get summer anymore in the uk, it just rains every day

Summer was fucking brutal here last year, worst I've experienced of seventeen years in Austin. I really like summer, but I don't like it here. Too much.
You know who does summer right? Chicago. I guess they're so relieved from the unrelenting winters that they properly go nuts when the weather gets nice. Just don't visit during said winters

@popvulture Chicago gets so hot in summer. People don’t realize that places like Chicago and even Minneapolis can get very uncomfortably hot and humid. People have died in Chicago summers from the heat because air conditioning is not universal. A surprising fact about a city that can get very cold and snowy.
ATX. Well, great city but condolences on the summer heat!

I guess I haven't been there for the dog days, but every time I went there in the summer (long distance relationship, so quite a few times) it was nothing short of amazing. Also so bikeable due to the flatness.

I was in Chicago a few years ago in June and we had the best time!! Perfect weather. But then I did get reports later in July how miserable it was at that point and we were lucky to have come earlier.
Living in Colorado, we have a very dry climate, which does wonders for the year round enjoyment of each season. Living here, I have to agree with Mclain that I love each season for what each one has to offer. It can get searingly hot down in town in the summer...but that's easily remedied by spending most of my time in the higher elevation of the mountains backpacking and fishing every chance I can get.
All that being said, I still think winter and fall edge out the others for the win! I just love cooler weather.
-
I definitely prefer cooler, too. I try to avoid cold af, but give me that over hot af any day.
-
I love the cold and hate the heat, in Italy, 15km from the Adriatic Sea and 30km from the Apennine mountain chain, up until 15 years ago the climate was perfect, the 4 seasons were very distinct, the winters not too cold and the summers in the 30s degrees... it was an absolutely enviable climate but now
, the temperature has increased by 5/6 degrees on average and the summers are long and too hot
, I truly believe that we have managed to ruin this wonderful planet and now we are paying for it consequences

@Twistlock thanks dude, I'm at 137 wears today so it didn't take too long...been wearing em since last Halloween.
-
@Twistlock ahh gotcha gotcha well they are amazing when brand new!
-
That is insane @Oaktavia ! You’ve only got a month on my pair of XHS-666 but that’s definitely in wear time and not fades. Inspires me to be more active lol. I run a Screenprint shop by day(and night) and noticed my daily physical activity is all upper body.

@october-rust I walk a lot at work and move around quite a bit from work to home. Long walks by the river, gardening, housework, everything in these jeans.
