I've mentioned a few times we are looking for a new leather for these shirts...

We have found a front runner, but its a shade too light at the moment. We are asking the tannery to darken it slightly for one final sample..

@Alex that's a beauty, do I remember correctly that the Pale Rider in its current form is being discontinued due to inconsistencies in the quality of the leather?

looks nice to me. And paler just means more room for higher contrasting patina, doesn't it? And I'd have thought that softer was better for shirts.

But then I am just one of those longing-lurkers on this thread and don't own the PR so what do I know...

@EdH Darkening it won't make it less soft, but (I think) will make it more saleable

The hand-warmer pockets on the IHAS-01 CPO were super unsatisfactory. On the IHAS-02, less so, but that had a lining.....

Literally tooth and nail trying to break this pale rider in. The 136 whipcord will be its overshirt for the time being, seeing it won’t crock on to the pale rider.

The days are long, it seems, but I’ll keep at it!

Around 25-30 wears. It does get softer, thankfully

Hi,
I just discovered this thread and the amazing pics got me interested. As so many here before me, I am unsure what size to get. Usually, I am between small and medium in Iron Heart UHF and denim shirts. Small fits perfectly without T-shirt and medium works well with T-shirts under denim and UHF shirts. I am 5'8 and weigh 145 lbs with a 38-39 inch chest.
Any suggestions as most of you have gone through the same process?
Also, the sleeve length seems rather long. Do the sleeves shorten over time by an inch or so due to the creases?

I really appreciate any advice!
