Picked these up few days ago when they were released in Japan. Yes, the break-in has given me blisters.

Took the plunge with a pair of 877s. Very long legs so works for me when I sit down and the 888s ride up
HOWEVER - one thing I failed to consider when purchasing was how much of a pain it would be to have to lace literally half the boot every time you want to take it on/off.
Sent them straight to a cobbler to get the top 6 holes turned into speed hooks. Also got them to do a cheeky stretch to the toe box whilst they were there (felt a bit narrower than my IRs, I think there is an extra lining of leather that goes all the way round internally?)
Anyhoo - this was the best decision ever made. I can whip them on/off in a heartbeat now, and they still feel super secure. If you’re on the fence about this mod I would highly recommend!

Dude that’d be sick. The Blacksmith could use more love — I’ve never really understood why that one needed to replace the Beckman (I feel like it was a replacement, could be wrong), seems like they could just both exist and it’d be fine.

Don’t even get me started on the Beckman thing. When seemingly like 80% of fan-generated stuff on Insta etc is of a model you’re not even offering in the US, clearly your company might be missing out on an opportunity to make some money. Makes zero fucking sense.
