I know it’s Saturday,but we’ve got Football today,and Six Pickers left after last weeks craziness. No surprises here as pool favorite @Mizmazzle AKA SOX is hoping his Broncos can get out of the Motor City with a “W” @steelworker has been reading The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe,and picks The Ravens for a second straight week against a gimpy Jaguar/Trevor Lawrence. @october-rust looking to make it 2 in a row,rolls the dice with the 49ers over the Cardinals. Hope he doesn’t crap out. @scooter betting on The Rams to bounce back from that brutal loss to the aforementioned Ravens,as is @Nocturama hoping the Chiefs can line up correctly,catch the damn ball,avoid penalties,while traveling to New England to beat The Patriots. Heard that all The Swifties were making Bill Belichick Voodoo Dolls. Lastly @Oaktavia knows there won’t be any Terrible Towels in Indianapolis as he picks The Colts to beat the Steelers,or as he refers to them The Squeelers. Good Luck you guys!

@scooter it’s not over yet my man! We’ve been bad for so long now I’m holding on to any last scraps of hope. But last nights performance just solidifies the fact that the Broncos are not a playoff caliber team.

@steelworker I offer you a modern interpretation of The Raven by Jettger Allan Poe…The Raven came to my door. Knock,Knock,Knock he said join The Flock,Flock,Flock.You will go far with Lamar,All The way with O.B.J. Caw,Caw,Caw with Coach Harbaugh. Nice pick and The boys from Baltimore might even let you into their Flock. We had two big bounce back wins as The Rams bounced back for @scooter and The Chiefs did the same for @Nocturama as they went up to Foxboro and beat The Patriots. Brock Purdy and the 49ers put The Cardinals in a cage and gave @october-rust his second win. @Oaktavia with the savvy pick as the Colts did in fact have The Steelers squealing all the way back to Pittsburgh. Sad to say that we have to say goodbye to @Mizmazzle as the socks folded and are headed to the laundry as The Broncos loose to the Lions. We’re down to 5,and lots of really contentious football coming up this weekend.

Thank you. The challenge is to write a paragraph or so every single week about the same thing. Every week I look for angles based on who’s still in and their picks and outcomes. And then from time to time the contestants will give me an angle to use like @Mizmazzle and his lucky socks. That was pure gold. It helps to keep it interesting and fun. I actually went and googled The Raven so I could properly paraphrase it after you won,although I might’ve used it either way.

My neighbor is a 49ers fan and I’m sad I won’t be here on Xmas to properly troll him if the game goes our way.
He’s a state trooper and I don’t think he likes me very much. I suspect it’s my generally cavalier attitude towards everything and the fact that I sit in the garage at night and get stoned. Fuck em if they can’t take a joke.
