I've been wearing mine for a while now and they're still super stiff… Will these ever soften up as much as the regular (indigo) 888S-21?

Nope. They won’t be as soft as the 21oz. I found that after around 5 years and countless machine washes/lots of daily wear they got softer, but the superblack always has a bit of stiffness to it.

How about the 888-21SBG? Will that be as soft as the indigo 888-21?

I’ve not had a pair of sbg bottoms—but I have a type III that has gotten a bit softer and more molded to my body. It isn’t like 21oz. In my experience, nothing is quite like the flagship denim. The XHS is the one that undergoes the biggest transition. Eventually the 25oz. denim gets crazy soft.

First time out in those. It’s a real difference in the fabric hand compared to the indigo versions. This one is a bit less slick but that mate vibe it gives is just awesome in its own rights.

i have 777 xhs size 32 and 555 xhs size 31, both have "33" in waist. should i go with it in this 888?

@akohut We should be getting these restocked around April/May time. do keep an eye on this forum thread for updates, and if you haven't already, I would sign up for the restock notification, which you can do via the product page on the website selecting your sizing and entering your email.
