Seamaster on codora strap and deployant clasp. The strap is originally from the dark side of the moon speedmaster, I’m really enjoying this set up, the whole thing is fairly substantial and I reckon the stap and clasp suit this particular watch. The codura is solid and the red contrast stitching on the inside is a nice detail. I’d prefer if the strap was lined with rubber rather than leather but the leather feels like it’s been treated in some way that it seems rubberised(?) I’m not sure that’s a real thing but it doesn’t feel to be particularly porous, it’s kind of rubbery to touch. In any case it’s very comfortable to wear.

@VoodooRay that’s a nice watch, and the strap really does look good with it.

@IrishHeart Thank you sir. Apart from the bracelet this is the best strap option I've found for this one.

@VoodooRay your post with the alternative Omega strap got me looking on their website for something to freshen up my battered old X-33 with.

I happened to find what looks like a new Nato-Strap option they are offering in Black denim and Leather.

How could I not post this find on a denim forum?

That black denim/leather strap works really well with the black dial of the current version of the X33.

My original version has the green grey LCD central display and it may work a bit better with the biosteel beige Nato they make?

Pity my old model is not on their configurator, for the render image I have had to pick the current black dial X33.

That configurator is a lot of fun and quite addictive.

There used to be a blue denim NATO in the Omega collection, it was intended for one of the Railmasters. I don't know if it's still available, but could look good on a Summer Blue...

Oris have just announced a new version of the ProPilot that @Anesthetist is eyeing up. But rather than include Miss Piggy, they've used lasers to cut what I suspect is an interference pattern into a titanium dial to produce a colour-shifting finish. Monochrome has more details.

                            H. Moser & Cie have slimmed the Streamliner down, and this will probably pose a threat to @JDelage's wallet. Again, see Monochrome.

Love that Oris. I thought I saw a similar dial on a Moser Streamliner on the gram but can’t find it now and maybe it was a trick of the lighting in the photo on the blue enamel model.

I love those two watches. The Streamliner is $30k though, which is a big jump from the original Streamliner. It's a new calibre too I think, with a micro-rotor. Those are cool. No threat to my wallet, as I still like my Green Dragon better. I'm happy to see Moser continuing to breathe life into the Streamliner line. For a minute, I did wonder whether it would be a one-off, but it's definitely not the case.

The Oris dial reminds me a bit of black mother-of-pearl, which I like very much.

Went to see my favourite antique dealer friend today (@ROman & @chap). He told me he had done a couple of good house clearances recently. In one, he found some nice watches and offered the seller X for everything in the house. Offer accepted. I asked him what the watches were, and he reeled off a few Cartiers and Tiffanys and the like and then added "oh and this one", he pulled up his cuff to show me a rather nice IWC Portofino, "Yeah, I found it in a box under the sofa, and thought, oh fuck it, I'll have that for me"....

The PF Tonda is beautiful, but personally I find this GMT feature very gimmicky. It's a 12hr scale, so you don't know whether the home time is AM or PM. They also didn't include a date, which is prettier but kinda lazy in a GMT watch. I'd rather get the plain Tonda.
