@popvulture yeah man. Honestly, I got kinda lucky on the timing I think. I’d been doing a lot of research and had been talking with Deb a bunch. If I hadn’t been gearing up toward this jacket for the last year I would have had no idea things would develop the way they did with the leather. Then seeing the one last large left….I’ll do my best to do it justice!!

Here’s a question where I think the answer is no…but I’m looking at it hang in the sun right now and wondering if too much sun is a bad thing. It’s tanning up quite nicely already.

Question: will leaving it to tan for a couple hours a day while it’s been around 98 degrees result in anytype of shrinkage? Been doing this everyday for the last week or so. Should I be careful with how much I leave it to hang in the sun?

@Mizmazzle I left mine out for weeks on a roofed balcony, to catch sun but no rain, and it tannend nicely.
Didn't realise any shrinkage.

Looking great! And maybe good call on conditioning, can't tell if those sleeves were starting to dry out in the cold/dry/high of Colorado.

Did you do anything before the paste @Mizmazzle ? I recall you asking about saddle soap.

@pechelman i didn’t. Just went straight in on it. But you’re right. There were def some spots that had a bit of dryness to them. Colorado is sooo dry. My cracking fingers can attest to this!!

It was 95f and wear it with no shirt under our covered patio. I might have some mental issues.

Sometimes capturing the true color and richness of this jacket can be tricky. Feel like I finally got a shot that is accurate. Think the mustang paste has settled in after a couple days too.
