I don’t know where you could get a good one, but I feel pretty confident in saying that going to a local leather worker or maybe even a tack shop would be the best place to get the heaviest leather. That way you might also be able to get a say in the leather they use, and the finish. Stitching or Chicago screws or whatever.

I can say from experience that @seawolf belts pair well with this buckle. I have it on his double layer saddle-stitched natural belt and it’s one of my favorite possessions.

I don’t doubt it. Before he reached out I found a local native leather guy here in town who had some veg tan hide the same thickness as my other IH belts. He’s going to put it together for me and it should be ready next week. I’ll show it off when I get it. Zach will be my next stop when belt shopping though. His site has some really amazing shit.

Stitching is a little wonky but I don’t mind. I had him recreate the 09 stitching instead of wrapping it over the sides which is his preference. I wasn’t into that look so I’m pleased.
