Nothing better than hiking with cool friends who are locals that know their backyard - very well. Most of the spots were closed a few days ago so we had most of the NW park to ourselves.
Bears are a plenty, especially right after the snow thaw.

@weftyarn LOL don't get fooled with the IG post of them wearing the heavy stuffs! But if you are indoor, like the mall, shorts or berms will be a bit too cold. I always have friends from overseas saying our indoor air-conditions is set too low!!!!

@weftyarn amazing photographs, are you planning to visit Flores? I took a 3 day boat trip to see the Komodo dragons from there a few years back, and Padar Island en route was the most photogenic spot I've ever visited.

We actually thought about Flores and Komodo but I guess we have to save them for the next time. There’s just so many islands and beautiful places I can’t wrap my head around it.
We’ll spend some time on Sumatra though. Lake Toba and Gunung Leuser NP is the plan. Let’s see how it goes

Morgan and I love backpacking. We’ve heard of the rifugio huttes of the Dolomites and had to include them in our honeymoon trip of Italy. They most certainly did not disappoint.
Now, I understand that there are much more technical fabrics to hike in. Fabrics that are lighter, more water resistant, quick drying, and all around better for long hikes. Sure I knew my new wife would tease me the whole four days of our hiking trip. I didn’t wear my SBGs for the style. I didn’t wear them for the practicality. I didn’t wear them out of ignorance (or did I?
) So why in the hell did I wear these black, 21oz denim beasts for four days, 7,000 ft of elevation gain, through snow, sun, rain, and odd looks from other hikers…I did it for the fades!

I can absolutely understand why it’s your favorite country. The people are so overwhelmingly nice here. Add stunning nature, inspiring culture (and the food) and it’s like a dream come true.
Only the humid temperatures took me some days to get used to haha.

Wall space is expensive in Munich and there’s not much left in our apartment. The eagle is a contender for sure.
