My personal favourite from this year following the contest on IG was Ella and her heavily washed/bleached 14oz 888s. Probably doesn't meet the judges desired criteria but they were truly beautiful, and rival Giles' famed 18oz 666s imo, think her handle is wear_til_dead.

Some of them look a bit "manipulated", but what do i know... Bummer they didn't vote your pair into the Top 10 James @Jcaz6996, they should have been up there.

I can't even imagine how bad no.4 must've smelled after what I can only assume was 24/7/365 wear in the Thai heat and humidity! No shade on the dude, mad respect for the commitment but damnnnnnnnnn...

ODD top 10 looks like the judges have picked a selection of different styles of fades, vintage,high contrast etc ..
I wouldn’t have picked half of them ..

From what I’ve seen about Thai and Indonesian faders, it’s not uncommon for them to brush their denim for the fades to pop out more. Which is completely fine, but don’t think it should be allowed in a competition.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this were the case for some of the pairs in the top 10…

Had a look at the top ten, and it’s fair to say my picks would have been quite different.
That said, it’s so subjective, and I agree with the comment that it appears they have tried to represent a variety of different looks.

Honestly surprised that @Jcaz6996 pair didn’t make the top 10. All shall be well when you win the Redline Rally though

The Invitational is such a great idea in spirit but there are shenanigans that clearly go on it seems. I wonder how they could improve moving forward? Give prizes out by random draw focusing more on making it the 365 giving more people a chance to feel accomplished? Have a 'sandpaper' category??

@Kasi I'm with you on an IH fade competition. Only IH jeans, judges are the IH crew UK and Japan. Post weekly pics here on the forum or something.

@Salted-Racer I might be in the minority,but I always felt that the vibe of the Iron Heart Forum is totally non-competitive,and that everyone’s jeans fade differently. While I definitely enjoy observing the contest,and totally root for any Forum members competing,not sure the Forum is a place for a fading contest.
