@Ross Any other flavors of the Mr. Lou horsehides (I.e. brown, natural, etc) forthcoming or only the black? Thanks! John

Although please don't ask me for an ETA yet! we're a little too early in the game for that - as soon as I have anything concrete I'll make sure all the relevant forum pages are updated with whatever info I've got

BTW - Anyone trying to decide between a D and E width in these - the Brannock chart indicates the difference to be 3/16”. Not sure how this plays out with the Lou’s, but my experience with the couple pair I have is that they run a little narrow to begin with.

I am a 555 man. Like a narrow hem. I assume that a 555 would allow for the Mister Lou’s to be taken on and off?

I would say it depends on the size you wear in the 555 and thus the hem. If you have a small waist I think it won’t work. I wear mainly 634 due to this and my waist is around 31/32. 555/777 doesn’t work over Engineers in my size. A hem of 7.5 would be the minimum for me to fit over the boots.

@Crispy-Heron i have a UHR and a XHSbb in 555. Both size 34 and fit over my Lofgren engineers. Mr. Lou had a even smaller shaft.

@Dmart - tag 30, waist around 31 inches. I can’t think my SBGs are going to work as they are narrow.

@Heavy_blue - I have a pair of UHR as well and reckon they will work as the hem isn’t quite so narrow.

Thanks for your views - may have to consider a pair of 634s or 666 SBGs!

@Crispy-Heron 666 fits perfectly! Although my 555’s hemm fits a 666 or 888 is much easier. And it’s alwayd a good excuse to buy a new denim 🤣

@Crispy-Heron same as a 555, the hemm will be smaller in a size 30 or 31. My 34 777 21ib barely fit over the Lofgrens. 666, 634 or 888 will be much easier. Or choose to hemm your denim. The legg opening will get a tad wider then.

@Crispy-Heron please don't be embarrassed it is a valid question. I have two pairs of Mr Lous and both were able to fit inside two different 555s. The shaft was made for that.

Just saw this one too. All IH cuts work with Mr Lou. The slimmer cuts show the boot shaft though, meaning the drapery of the hem is tighter. So if you are after stack fades for example, they will look a bit differently.
