I commissioned a pair of Mr. Lou’s from Chris at Wesco. Was really inspired by @Giles green and brown boots. Chris didn’t have anything green at the time that I liked, so I sourced some Golf Green Horween and had it drop shipped to Oregon. The shaft will match my GAH wallet, and there might be enough hide left over for a belt… we will see. I am also having the GAH buckles installed. Ordered Dec ‘22. Expected Dec ‘23.

@Giles The Shop Vancouver is taking pre-orders for olive chromexcel Wesco Mr. Lou’s - so if the green burlap isn’t available, possibly the olive chromexcel is available and the roughout of this leather could be used as an alternative to the green burlap. It wouldn’t be an exact rerun, but something similar. Just a suggestion. Really like the look of this boot. Thanks. John

Will these be a preorder like the purps or a batch of different sizes made and then sold after manufactured? Also, how much is it to upgrade to the GAH buckles? Thanks again! John

No idea how we will sell them yet, if indeed we can get the hides. I'd need to discuss this with Chris @ Wesco, @alex and @Ross , but won't bother until we know if this is doable or not. @Ross will PM you the pain a GOOD ART HLYWD upgrade will be......

I think the green Burlap is a no-go. Need to order enough to make 312 pairs. That won't happen I am afraid....

Bought these navy horsehide Wesco engineers from Baker’s last July (2022). Have only worn weekends and haven’t conditioned them yet. It’s the fastest and most interesting patina I’ve experienced with a boot. The vamp and heel that is exposed has dramatically turned a greenish- brown whereas the shaft has remained navy. A rather interesting color combination.
