When I went for Giles's Kanreki party a couple of years ago, my wife found a flight for me from San Antonio (through Ft. Lauderdale) to London for about $500.  She's a cheap flight finding master…

Oh, how time flies when you're enjoying yourself.

22nd September 2019 is the 10 year anny of this wonderful place.

We will do a load of stuff to celebrate.

Including, but not limited to:

Yakitori party in Gosport (Yakitori was so flaming successful last year, that (if @Alex and @Scasi agree to chef again) we will replace the old fish and chips theme with Japanese BBQ delights.  Probably weekend of 21 and 22 Sept, though @Madame Buttonfly will have the final say on that

Any other ideas?  Jeans are out, too bloody difficult to get you rabble to agree on anything

Flights from my local airport are pretty reasonable right now. Hope my wife needs to go to London in Sept.

My motorcycle club used to have enamel pins/badges made up to commemorate special events, and we’d wear them on jackets and vests.

This is very exciting - promise we'll fix dates very soon so that people can book early.  Will be either 14th/15th September or 21st/22nd September.  @Chap we'd love to have you here, it's going to be impossible to find a weekend to suit everyone but now's the time to shout out your preference, people!

There is a new "cheap and cheerful" 70 bedroom Travelodge Hotel being built on Gosport High Street, a short stroll from here - I hope it will be open by September, can't find any info right now but this would be a real bonus, finding local accommodation is always a challenge.

@Filthy British Airways return flights to Philadelphia are currently about £300 (less than $400) so I am sure there will be some cheap flights available.  The Scandi airlines (Finnair for example) are also offering great deals between UK and many US cities.
