I visited London in early 2018 for my Honeymoon. I stayed in a tiny Airbnb in Soho that was maybe 200 square feet. My Uber driver said "I don't even have to see the inside, your apartment is around $1,000,000 U.S. to purchase.

I immediately felt like a millionaire (sort of).

I can't imagine how people in the middle class can afford to live in that city, AND wear Iron Heart? not possible

London is a sprawling city. Anywhere in zones 1-3 is crazy money. Friends have lived in Camden, Shoreditch, Hackney, all before the boom, and have been priced out (rent).

Frankly I don't know how anyone with a family can afford to buy more than a few items a year. I generally sell something and then buy something else I'd like more, until I have an item I'd covert, such as my recent work jacket purchase.
