IHM-29-KHA Alpaca Lined Whipcord N1 Deck Jacket - Khaki

The classic N1 deck jacket was first produced for the US Navy in the early 1940s.  Much copied since then, it has become a true style icon in its own right.  The Iron Heart version remains pretty true to the original jackets on the basis that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".  The one major, but unseen, change we have made is to add an additional interlining to increase wind resistance.  This piece is a truly warm winter jacket.

Long pile alpaca/wool mix lining

Means wool mix lining something similar like blanked lining in the ihj-50? Only in this case as additional lining underneath the pure alpaca?
And what is the exact composition of the wool mix (may I ask this?)

It's 80:20 wool/alpaca.

It is not like the blanket lining on the IHJ-50, the wool/alpaca is this:

There is an additional windproof layer between the alpaca and the whipcord

I’m not brave enough for that, Giles! It’s always been plenty warm and windproof enough, for me. ‘Twill have to remain a mystery.

You must have a trustworthy tailor, @Eisenherz. I’d be loath to mess with the jacket’s IH factory construction.
