I'm impressed with all the amazing progress that's been made @Giles!

I'm still waiting on a building permit  😢

Thanks Clint, I'm hoping I can get it waterproof (at least the roof- possibly not the window or doors, but I can bodge that with tarps in the short term) within the next 3 weeks.  Then I can get the floor liquid screeded, that takes ages to dry enough to be able to lay tiles, so it is on the critical path…..

If it is any consolation, I applied for permits about a year ago......(I'm really ignoring a lot of what I got permission for, but I am confident that I am doing it better than what I have permission for)..... 😶 ::) ???

                        Honest question- that's illegal?

I see worse things on the road here on a daily basis.  In Houston, I saw worse things on an hourly basis…

                            nothing to see here officer

@Chris  Slightly open to interpretation, but a Police Officer or a DVSA representative might well take a dim view of Giles' load.

I once had to 'straddle' a concrete paving slab at ~70mph on the outside lane of a motorway (Freeway), fortunately I didn't hit it. A few people a few hundred meters down the road where not quite so lucky given the resultant destruction I saw.

I actually don't know, but the guys in the wood yard were pissing themselves laughing.  I'd certainly have had my collar felt for not having a high-vis flag on the end of the stack of wood.  The bit of plastic sheeting that I tore off a pallet of bricks, does not really count….

Then these turned up…..Les is hung over and Alex has damaged his back (when a car pulled out in front of him when he was cycling home)....., so I guess shifting them is down to me....(Paula, conveniently has a subsequent engagement  🙂 🙂 🙂 )

Nothing too bad, thanks. I’ve broken two ribs before and it’s not that bad, so I’m sure it’s just muscular or bruising from where I rolled my rinçage over the handlebars and onto the ground
