US dedicated Website - www.ironheartamerica.com
-
At some point today or tomorrow we will be launching our new USA based website. This is still linked to the normal shop, and everything will be handled by us the same, but, your credit cards and PayPal payments will be settled in the USA so there should be no issues with transactional fees or card processor declines for international transactions.
When you navigate to ironheart.co.uk or ironheart america.com for the first time, you will be given a popup to select which store you want to shop in, and your browser will remember this. You may have to do this again from your phone/office etc as the site learns your choice across platforms.
For those of you in the US, feedback would be greatly appreciated to make sure we iron out any kinks before announcing it as live to the world!

Given that I’ve never had any trouble ordering through IHUK (I’m in US) is there any reason (other than beta testing like you mentioned) to order through the USA site? Does it save IH $ to go one way or the other?
-
If a Canadian buys an item that is shipped from IHUK and then needs to return it for whatever reason, can they return it to IHUS and, if so, will the return shipping option be less expensive?
As I understand it, IHUS is a credit card handling facility, an address and a website at the moment. Items will still ship from the UK and be returned to the UK.

No probs. Given that next day delivery is a reality for a lot of US addresses, even from the UK, holding stock in the US would be unnecessarily expensive. The IHUS initiative is essentially a way for US customers to bypass some of the complications that come with international transactions.

All on mobile:
I used your link-> selected America-> went to the outlet -> went to the black waffle work shirt-> clicked on the “see this discussed on forum” link -> clicked on the “see this item in shop” link at the upper right which took me here:
Clicking on the above link takes me back to the product page in ironheartamerica.com (because cookies?) not the UK site like it seems like it will from the link. So all in all it was easy to navigate where I needed to go, and everything seemed to go to the right place, but it’s possible these feckless youngsters nowadays give up if they see a screen that looks like an error. Otherwise as you said it seems to be a perfect mirror of IHUK.

Giles. I see a float trip down the Green River in Flaming Gorge in your future. One of the best in North America.
