Any ideas on these jeans [emoji158] I have soak them for half in cold water, do I need to soak again any help would be helpful thanks

Soak in hot water for about two hours. Then wash them in a machine inside out, while still wet, at a low temperature and very low or no spin. Air dry.

Tbh anything other than getting all the shrink out is just delaying the inevitable.

@Kasi it depends what you’re trying to do. How do they fit you now? Are you happy with the fit or do you want more Shrink? And for that answer I give you Reuben in 3….2....1 @neph93

These are mine first uhr jeans thinking
cold soak would do the job like I do with my other jeans

Is this format necessarily, to soak for two hours then machine wash

Yes, unless you want your jeans to shrink a whole bunch when they finally see hot water. By that time though they’ll be ruined because the stitching will have broken and there’ll be tears at the sharply creased areas.

This is loomstate denim. It has seen no water since it was dyed with indigo. Until it is soaked and washed the stitching isn’t embedded and the denim is prone to creasing and tearing.

Here is the full, official Iron Heart wash guide for UHR denim:

                        “ULTRA HEAVY RAW (UHR) DENIM

An initial soak or wash is particularly important with this denim, as it is very stiff and abrasive in its raw state, so can cut through the constructional stitching if not bedded in. The denim is loom-state (there has been no post weave processing performed on the denim), so it will shrink and skew. Our UHR jeans are designed to be “shrink to fit”, so after washing or soaking a couple of times they will shrink to tag size. You are likely to see about one inch shrinkage in the waist and two inches shrinkage in the inseam. When you get your jeans, soak them in a bathtub or large sink of cold water for a few hours. Then turn them inside-out and wash them in a washing machine* at no hotter than 30 degrees C (circa 90 degrees F), you do not need to add washing powder or detergent. Ideally no spin (or very slow spin) and don’t put them in a tumble dryer, it is far better to allow them to air dry (still inside-out). Before they are completely dry, turn right side out and try to smooth out all the wrinkles.”

Thinking about getting one of these, especially as this will be the last chance to grab the UHR denim.
However, I have some concerns regarding sizing.
I have a 777S-21blk size 33 which fits quite nice, even though the topblock could be just a little bit smaller. I haven't worn them often yet, so there is just a little to no stretch.
No I'm not sure whether to go for a 32 or even 31 with the UHR. I'm afraid the 32 will be to big after stretching back post soak and the 31 maybe to small.
What do you guys think or recommend?

@don_pipone are those 777-21blk measurements from the website or are they your actual pair? If the former I'd measure your actual pair and then compare.

Looking at the UHR measurements, you'd be best off asking the crew at IHUK if the can find a bigger W31 or a smaller W32.

                                            Thank you @neph93
Those are the measurements from the website. Didn't think about measuring my actual pair, which I did now.
I will contact the IHUK crew through the website to find the right pair.
