Oct/Nov works better for me.  April/May is right around HS graduation time for my oldest.

Arrived in LA to beautiful temperatures.  Thrifty had no "economy cars", so they gave us a 4x4 - aint complaining….

Drove up to Yucca Valley, which seemed to take forever, courtesy of the LA freeways, now safely ensconced in a Super 8 (it isn't really)…..

Re: Forum Gig to Japan.

The brands show collections twice a year.  That is when I have to be there (not to see other collections, but that is when most retailers are in town so we take that opportunity of showing ours too).  So our dates are immovable.  Once we know the dates (usually not until about 5 months before the trip) we will publish.  We normally go for a week or so, but peeps could go for shorter or longer, hang-out together, do some travelling etc etc…..

Super intrigued at the idea of a japan gathering…never been and I’d love to meet some of you fine fellas face to face. I was bummed I couldn’t make the Gosport gathering last year. I ran the idea by my wife and it seems promising

@Giles  You two are not far from Amboy ca. on Route 66. It is a ghost town with it;s famous Roy's Cafe. A good place to take photos. At this time Amboy has 4 people living there. check it out. From Joshua Tree just come up Amboy road to Route 66.

Lately I've really been thinking how much I want to drop everything and spend like two weeks in Japan.
Having a forum meetup in Japan would be a nice excuse for that.

Sunsets in the western US are beautiful.  The colors can be unreal sometimes. Phx is semi famous for its sunsets as well.

@joesaintjohn We'll be in LA Tues PM thru Thurs PM, about as North as we'll get….Is that north enough?
