@endo Antica is the BEST vermouth for a Negroni. I also very highly recommend Cocchi do Torino Vermouth. Negronis are my super hot day summer cocktail.

Agree, absolutely beautiful vermouth, have to try Cocchi do Torino. I also have a wonderful Gin, local product. But, often I'm not happy with Campari. Do you have an alternative suggestion for that.

@endo I have used aperol before and it worked fine, but presume any nice red Italian amaro would also work

@endo Aperol can work as a nice substitute. I once had Faccia Bruto and it was really nice.

I’m with you about Campari. I usually go with a half pour of Campari… more gin!! and vermouth - smooths everything out. And I love fresh squeezed lemon… not just a zest.

There is also the “iron” option of using Baliva Ferro China - it was invented by a doctor so it must be good for you
