I am blown away by the progress here @Oaktavia. I’d think you’d have to be chopping wood 10 hours a day to get so much evo so fast. I’m approaching a first wash on mine and took your advice to wear it to bed some nights.

Haha I just wear it a lot buddy. I wear it to work three days/week and on most weekends when I'm not wearing an UHF. I wear it to bed almost every night now…and that's it. Washing helps lighten the shirt up a bit too (in a machine). Have you washed yours yet? After my third wash it was noticeably different.

Edit: I would like to add I wore it over the summer indoors with an AC unit in the window and a fan going...it was super hot and quite uncomfortable but I wore it anyway. Consistent wear over 10-12 hour days and nights helped with the evo on my shirt.

I've been eyeing the posts down about the 16oz SBG (and your 21oz Type III SBG) but my 295 will be my last black top for now. My wife and I have two golden retrievers and their hair is always, ALWAYS covered over the darkness of the shirt. It was/is a daily struggle to remove it using lint rollers…sometimes I would use 5-6 sheets to get it all off.

Plus, I do not have a indigo/white/natural denim shirt in my rotation yet. I have the 295ib and 295bb and now I'm after something heavy and indigo for next year. Any recommendations for a heavy 16-18oz western?

@Oaktavia I have an IHSH 177 CPO up for sale. It’s the second iteration of that shirt which was made from 18OZ denim. I hardly wore it. If the measurements work ,it might be perfect for you. It’s an XXL.

@Jett129 thanks for the heads up- I actually saw your post and considered messaging you but I'm not quite in the market yet for a new purchase. I also checked the measurements and am not sure an XXL would work…I would likely go for an XXXL if I could choose a new one.

After having tried the JC III only to find out the measurements do not work for me, I placed an order for this shirt. I like the fact that this fades to grey. But one other question I have is about its crispiness. Does it become softer after couple of wears?

It settles a bit but I wouldn’t describe it as soft at all.

I just received this beast from IH Hamburg and I would like to know what the shrinkage on this is going to be like. Right now, this is just about perfect and I'm a bit concerned if the sleeves would shrink after a soak or a wash. Anyone experienced any shrinkage on these, please comment. As usual, a phenomenal quality.

I've washed mine three times and have not noticed any shrinkage. Pretty sure I chose a hot wash option on my washer once too when it was really dirty.

Mine fits pretty perfect as well, and didn’t want any shrinkage,so I just cold soaked it with a little Woolite Dark. Wearing it as I type.

Thanks Gentlemen. I'm going to keep this one and unlike the other IH shirts that I normally wash after a week of wear, I might prolong the wash cycle on this guy.

Is there any consistency between different IH shirts on the placement of the snaps? For example., I'm wearing this shirt today and as it can be seen in the image that the opening remains opened up after the last snap button while my other IH shirts do not show such an effect. It dosn't matter but I just wanted to ask if there is any consistency followed when planing the buttons across all IH shirts.

Again, I'm not complaining but just thought of asking.

The placement is fairly consistent, I'm pretty sure that the opening is due to flare because your hips are wider than your waist, and maybe exacerbated by the thickness/stiffness of the denim, the only way to stop this happening would be to have a snap very low down on the placket, which actually would restrict movement.
