I'm still at home. I'll be driving to Chicago, in about 6 hours. My fight is due to depart at 2115(central time). If all goes well, I'll arrive at Heathrow at 1100, tomorrow. The Mad Red is with me, and will be worn for the journey. I'll be posting along the way, so long as there are no connection issues…

Who the hell eats the likes of a Pork green chili poutine the night before they travel? A risk taker for sure.

A local radio DJ here tells of a story from years back that he dropped an absolute disaster deuce on a plane, and as he stepped out of the bathroom door, he was face to face with Sheryl Crow about to enter that very bathroom.

I’d fly to the gd moon if it meant getting away from the kids for while.  Just landed in Dallas. Getting close to margarita time.  Bloody Mary’s first though.  I’m no savage.

So far the only thing complicating our travel is the pulled pork green chile poutine I had for dinner last night.  🥴

When I worked in the defence industry, we were sent the spec for a system that would solve the following?

"We have a requirement to drop Chieftain Tanks on sleds from Globemaster C-17's flying low over enemy territory.  Once the tank is dropped there should be no noticeable perturbation from the aircraft."

here ‍️ but with my camper van. starting tomorrow morning in Kiel, staying overnight somewhere at the Channel, taking the ferry across Thursday morning, should be in Gosport by early afternoon

but I guess that doesn't count

@endo Hell yes it counts…they can drink the entire way here, but you... (I guess you could...  :))

I got to O'hare too early, apparently. Whizzed through check in, and TSA. Still 75 minutes until boarding, 2 hours until takeoff. Better than being late, I guess…..
