JMM event at my local JMM pusherman. They had the entire season inventory and I tried on a lot of them, seeking optical frames (I love my Argyle Walkers so much that I can't do much more than flirt with other sunnies). Speaking of that, tried Taos in whiskey:
Here's the "previews" you can try on for pre-order–Queen City Optical in Denver also has another wall of JMMs you can take home:
@Paul9221 I just copped some 47s too, in the Beige colorway. I never thought of myself as having a large head but maybe I do. The regular Zephirin felt too small, and Walkers are fairly large frames that feel perfect. Those will land in October for fitting multifocal lenses. I am very excited about that.

@mclaincausey
the taos looking great on you !!
the whiskey Taos are on my listand the volvox
they were for preorder right ? think they come late August -
@mclaincausey those whiskey Taos look fantastic on you!
I've never tried the regular Zephirins, but the Zephirin 47 is one of my favorites. It kinda looks like the sunglasses that a mad scientist would wear
I just pulled the trigger on the Torinos in taupe. That colorway just slays me! I've been having a hard time watching my spending with the JMMs lately, so if you don't see me around as much, it's probably because I'm trying to avoid the temptation

Thanks folks–not sure when the Taos land @Daniel San ; they had a spreadsheet and all I cared about was my Zephirin 47

I’m jealous of you getting to try so many pairs in person, mclaincausey . There’s just one local stockist that I know of here, and they’re still appointment only with pretty limited choices. I have bought and promptly flipped some Walkers, and Yves on the secondhand market. The walker was great, and I will have a pair at some point, but the time wasn’t right. Yves didn’t fit my face, at all.
It’s a slippery slope though, for sure.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks
@sabergirl for your kinds word
Glad
you like the Walkers..
Nice picture.
Have 2 pairs of them.
They heaviest in the arms in the side in my opinion

@sabergirl with the procedural drama shot! Are you at a crime scene? I imagine just after this shot, you stepped out of the car and a rookie handed you a cup of coffee. "Thanks, what are we lookin' at." Dun DUN!

Ask any time Bro
it ok
Brought kasi home Friday doing well
Takes six weeks to fully recovered, get him back on his feet.
That's fantastic!
I wasn't sure if you guys were like practically living at the hospital, having meetings with doctors, etc., and "Hold that thought, doctor, I have to respond to Paul from the Iron Heart forums." LOL
I'm so glad to hear that he's doing well!

Yeah @sabergirl I’m with @popvulture on that epic shot!
I tried on a ton of Walkers sunnies and shades in different colorways. My favorite frame of all time but the Zephirin 47 spoke to me more as an optical frame. I can’t explain why.
Queen City Optical Provisions is so great. To be clear, this was a special two-day event where they had the whole model range to try and buy for delivery months down the road. They do stock a lot of JMM and other terrific brands quite fully it seems relative to other opticians I have visited and their service is top notch. I expect the optometry to be on point in October as well.
Hoping to have my new frame and clip ons ready on time for a birthday getaway to Maui! I may order bespoke clip-one because the silver colorway from JMM has green lenses, and the gold the preferred brown. But all the hardware on the Beige colorway is silver.
