Yeah big time relief. I’ve been wearing them all day and have to say, they are already pretty comfortable. Hearing everyone’s stories I was anticipating limping, bleeding, and quite possibly a trip to the ER for an injection of penicillin.

In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

Yea I feel like people over hype the break in on the XHS. Get a pair that's a bit snug out of the package, wash em if you want and they'll be stiff for a bit but after a day or two of wear no big deal.

Here's a picture of mine post wash:

Well if anyone would know it would be you @Giles you said your first pair drew blood for the first two weeks!! Haha. Literally, or metaphorically??
Is it weird I was actually hoping for a bit more pain in this process? Masochist that I am, perhaps. Maybe a lifetime of throwing my self off of stairs, ledges, and rails on my skateboard have made my legs impervious to abrasion. Either way, loving these XHS so far!!

Literally.  I was doing a lot of physical work at the time (moving in to and outfitting our first office)…..

Damn @Giles i just read through that whole thread. That was a really cool look into the history of IHUK. Thanks for sharing that. I can only imagine how proud you are to have brought this IH name to the larger world and grown from such humble beginnings!! Don’t fuck it up @Alex haha. Totally joking. With the amount my closet has grown recently all signs point to continued success! Can’t thank y’all enough for doing things as well as ya do!!!

I'm satisfied and I think the cost was fair. But yeah next time I'm definitely ordering them hemmed.

If you ever need to get another pair hemmed give Franklin & Poe in Philly a try. They hem on a vintage Union Special and charge $20 plus shipping. I had them do my IH-666S-21od and the came out perfect.

Weird streaky white stains. I'm not even sure they're stains. I tried washing in the washing machine to no avail, twice.
What can stain jeans like this? Never had it happen to any other pair.

I have no idea as to what may have caused that, but I’ve had stuff happen to jeans,in the wash, that totally freaked me out at the time, and a few months later you don’t even notice it. Just adds character. No one else will ever notice it. Can’t imagine someone coming up to you and going…Dude what the fuck happened to your jeans? Hope I made you smile.

Looks like part of the weave to me. Just wait until your XHS is more broken in, there’ll be vertical falling like that all over.

That's some vertical slub…It's not a stain, it is where the slub (raised bit) has abraded more than the surrounding denim.

A month's worth of wears on these, now. Some very slight fades starting to appear around the top block, especially near the pockets, and the knee combs are setting in.

These are my first IHs, and are already the best jeans I've owned by a country mile. But in hindsight I feel like I should have gone another size up just for the extra thigh room. I don't know how visible it is in the photos, but the crotch sits pretty low on me because I just can't pull them any higher. Mildly dreading having to stretch them back out once I finally wash them.

After breaking a hanger I got them to hang by a belt loop on a hook. But they're so heavy I feel like leaving it there is going to stretch the jeans in some weird way and break the belt loop.

To the poster above, I'm in the opposite boat. I wish I sized down. You definitely feel looseness more on these pants than lighter ones since there's 0 drape.
